Abstract

Objective: To analyze the Virtual Reality (VR) protocols used in the rehabilitation of Cerebral Palsy (CP), discussing their results. Methods: 7 samples were collected, consisting of original articles, published in the period between 2013 and 2023, articles in English and Portuguese, which presented relevant and beneficial results on the effects of technology treatment on individuals with CP. Results: It was identified that VR is an effective alternative, providing improvement in balance, motor function, mobility, body composition, adherence, and efficacy of treatment. Furthermore, it offers an adaptive environment and immediate responses to the stimuli, which showed a motor gain increase of individuals in relation to their daily activities. Conclusion: VR is able to bring benefits to people with CP, improving quality of life and reducing harm, providing the individual with an interactive, dynamic and attractive experience, which consequently increases interest in the treatment.
