Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of injury prevention programs, incidence and prevalence in basketball players. Method: This is a systematic review that was carried out in the database of the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO), MEDLINE, EMBASE, COCHRANE, CINAHL, SPORDiscus, and PEDRo. Randomized clinical trials were included, investigating the effect of evidence prevention strategies to reduce the incidence of injuries in basketball players. Results: A search was carried out in the databases of the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO), MEDLINE, EMBASE, COCHRANE, CINAHL, SPORDiscus, PEDRo, where, through selection and design, thirteen articles were selected according to the question research and inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: Evidence supports neuromuscular warm-up for preventing lower limb injuries among basketball players. Studies are proposed with interventions that can promote the prevention of injuries in children, adolescents and applied to adult athletes.
