This study aims to unravel the mysteries of scientific methodology, providing clear guidelines for conducting research and writing scientific articles. The importance of the methodology is indisputable, being the basis that supports the validity and reliability of the results obtained. In this context, the research seeks to explore integrative approaches, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of contemporary methodological practices. The general objective of this work is to reveal the intricacies of scientific methodology and its role in academic writing, providing practical guidance for researchers in training. The relevance of this study lies in the growing need to improve methodological practices in scientific research. The methodology is the foundation on which the validity and reliability of the results rest, and the search for clear guidelines in this area is essential for the advancement of knowledge and to ensure the quality of the scientific work produced. The research adopted a qualitative bibliographic review approach, integrating studies from different sources, with an emphasis on the renowned databases Scielo, VHL and PubMed. The careful selection of articles and the integrative analysis aim to offer a comprehensive view of methodological practices, allowing an in-depth understanding based on the current state of knowledge. Analysis of the reviewed studies revealed trends, gaps in knowledge and valuable insights into the practical applicability of scientific methodology. The discussion and synthesis of results aim to provide concrete guidance to improve the conduct of research and the writing of scientific articles, contributing to the development of the academic community.
