Microneedling is an aesthetic treatment for the skin, both for acne scars, facial rejuvenation, stretch marks and melasma, which consists of a roller covered with fine needles, making the treatment by piercing the stratum corneum, without causing damage to the skin. This process will allow the release of growth factors that encourage the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis. This aesthetic device promotes stimulation of collagen production through skin perforations, causing an inflammatory process and thereby increasing cell proliferation, such as fibroblasts, increasing collagen and elastin proteins capable of restoring the integrity of skin tissue. Acne scars are a difficult condition to treat and there is currently a tendency to recommend combined procedures in facial treatment. This article, through a succinct literature review, aims to gather scientific data that prove the advantage of microneedling in the treatment of acne sequelae
