Abstract

Globalization has generated high competitiveness in several sectors, and the Civil Construction sector was no different. For this reason, the sector has undergone several significant changes over the decades, caused especially by the high level of demand from its customers. In addition, it is noted that for companies to remain in the market, it is necessary that they have an efficient system that helps in their management. And, for this to happen, construction companies need to use as a strategy the reduction of cost and efficiency in their production, avoiding losses as much as possible and ensuring excellence in the quality of their delivered products. In Brazil, several studies point out that poor management generates several problems for the company that result in low levels of quality and efficiency in civil construction, in addition to disorganization at the construction site, waste and routine delays. In this way, the implementation of the Lean Construction philosophy in construction companies becomes a great ally to optimize processes, carrying out the work on time and ensuring quality in their products, eliminating waste and using raw materials consciously.
