IMPACT OF LIFESTYLE CHANGES ON THE RISING INCIDENCE OF BRAIN ANEURYSMS IN WOMEN

The present study aims to analyze the impacts of lifestyle changes in women affected by cerebral aneurysms. The specific objectives are: to identify the triggering factors for the increase in cerebral aneurysms among women; to discuss lifestyle changes for the prevention of cerebral aneurysms; and to address awareness and access to preventive healthcare through nursing in order to reduce the occurrence of cerebral aneurysms in women. This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative and analytical approach, conducted through the following databases: PubMed, BDENF, SciELO, Google Scholar, and CAPES Journals, using articles published between 2020 and 2025. The results showed that factors such as physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, poor diet, and high stress levels are associated with an increased risk of developing cerebral aneurysms, especially in women. Lifestyle changes, such as regular physical activity, healthy eating, blood pressure control, and the elimination of harmful habits, have shown a positive influence on the prevention and management of aneurysm-related complications. Furthermore, nursing plays a crucial role in health promotion, health education, and access to preventive services, contributing significantly to early detection and risk reduction. It is concluded that lifestyle changes represent an effective strategy in the prevention of cerebral aneurysms in women, with nursing being fundamental in promoting educational actions, encouraging the adoption of healthy habits, and strengthening comprehensive and humanized care.
