Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze, through a systematic review, the effectiveness of resistance training in improving the functional capacity and quality of life of patients with heart failure. This is a systematic review with a temporary cut-off from 2018 to 2025. The search was carried out on the search platforms Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Central) and National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and the results were obtained after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, totaling 8 articles included in the sample. After carrying out this study, it was possible to verify that in most of the selected trials, the resistance test was effective in improving functional capacity and, thus, positively impacting quality of life.
