Abstract

The culture media must guarantee quality and efficiency in the analyzes, so it is of great importance to have a quality control system in the laboratory to guarantee the consistency of the day-to-day results and their compliance with the defined criteria. This work is about analyzes carried out in the field, where the tests were done in an industrial microbiology laboratory, aiming to increase the shelf life of the culture media, carried out in initial time, 1 month and 2 months after the production of the media, being divided into qualitative and quantitative analyzes. The results of the growth promotion tests were as expected, with colonies growing with an average of 107% recovery of microorganisms, giving a view of the good practices carried out both in the production and in the analysis of the product, besides bringing an important impact for the company as it promises significant gains in various approaches.
