Abstract

In terms of advancing education, the quality of basic education and public evaluation policies have gained ground in national and international debates.  An analysis of the condition of education in Brazil has been carried out, since 2007, along with the formation of the Basic Education Development Index - IDEB in schools and proposing the intention to understand and monitor the growth of basic education, Simultaneously, the scientific inquiry  has been expanded to include educational aptitude indicators.
