Abstract

This article, whose theme is Nutritional Influence on the Emotional State of HIV + Patients on Antiretroviral Treatment, is a research that took place at the District Hospital of Maganja da Costa. The research focused on Analyzing the nutritional influence on the emotional state of HIV + patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy, treated at the District Hospital of Maganja da Costa. The research was carried out with a view to assessing the emotional state of patients treated at the District Hospital of Maganja da Costa, involving a total of 500 patients with HIV, chosen in a Simple Random way. Anthropometric data were collected by nutritionists, psychologists and clinicians, previously trained to analyze the nutritional, emotional, and general clinical status of these patients. With this research, it is expected to know the emotional state of HIV patients undergoing outpatient treatment at the District Hospital of Maganja da Costa with a view to improving adherence and retention to antiretroviral treatment and contributing to the reduction of HIV prevalence in the District of Maganja da Costa in particular and consequently in Mozambique in general, with the initiative to test, initiate, reduce viral load and automatically reduce new infections.
