PHARMACEUTICAL PROFESSIONAL PROMOTING CARE AND PREVENTION OF TYPE II DIABETES: PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The project develops the idea that medication adherence is part of treatment, but recognizing the need to change habits and re-education will make all the difference in the process. Working a more empathetic look, seeking more and more humanization in our procedures with care and prevention is part of the complement that goes beyond drug treatment. Our project is a methodological study, which involves an investigation of the methods based on the development of tools for analysis of the scope and impact of the results. This type of research methodology is often used for the development of creative-educational technologies (TBI) and can be used within the education system, in the community, in families, with the individual and as a form of permanent education, within the professional classes. From the weaknesses in care identified in users with type II diabetes and based on the literature, the construction of the Folder was initiated, the validation was carried out by a group of 20 health professionals and formed by 10 (50%) nurses, 3 (15%) nursing technicians, 5 (25%) doctors, 2 (10%) Nutritionist being the latter as consultants of the nutritional part of the study, However, one nutritionist and 4 nurses did not return the questionnaire, thus totaling 20 health professionals who validated the material.
