The Human Teeth Bank, of the Health Sciences Center, of the Federal University of Paraíba, was created in 2010 to meet the historical demand for the use of human teeth in the academic activities of the Dentistry course. A biobank is an organized collection of human biological material and associated information, collected and stored for research purposes, according to regulations or pre-defined technical, ethical and operational standards, under institutional responsibility and management, without commercial purposes (RESOLUTION No. 441, 2011). In 2023, UFPB's Human Teeth Biobank (BDH) was approved by the National Commission for Ethics and Research (CONEP). For the implementation and maintenance of the actions proposed by the BDH of the CCS/UFPB, we have the extension project "EXTENSION ACTIONS IN THE HUMAN TEETH BANK-CCS-UFPB" which proves to be a valuable instrument to reach the various spheres involved in the process: external community in general, professors, undergraduate and graduate students, dental surgeons.
