Abstract

The purpose of this article is to shed light on the issue of education in the current Brazilian context and how the problems are reflected and refracted in the printed media such as chronicles and cartoons. To discuss language, the responsive and responsible attitudes of its enunciators, as well as the axiological positioning of both, the dialogical theory of language is taken as a reference from the perspective of Bakhtin and the Circle, as well as authors who deal with the verb-visual language. Brait and Dondis. As an investigative object, we selected the chronicle “Tela, cautela, nutella”, by Antonio Prata, published in Folha de S. Paulo on 12/09/2020 and three cartoons signed by Caco Galhardo published in Piauí magazine, nº 164 of May 2020.

Sonia Sueli Berti Pinto, Faculdade Academus

Possui graduação em Letras pelo Centro Universitário FIEO (1999), mestrado em Linguística pela Universidade de São Paulo (2002) e doutorado em Linguística pela Universidade de São Paulo (2005). Pós-Doutorado em Linguística Aplicada pela PUC/SP (2008). Atuação como  Procuradora institucional; Coordenadora de Comissão Própria de Avaliação; Coordenadora curso de pós-graduação; Avaliador Institucional e de cursos ad hoc INEP do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira, Coordenadora de lato sensu em formação docente; Coordenadora  de AAPC - Assessoria Acadêmica e de Cursos; Diretora de EaD; Experiência como Gestora e Mantenedora de IES. Experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Linguística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: análise dialógica do discurso, leitura, discurso, cultura e educação.

Miriam Bauab Puzzo, University of Taubaté - UNITAU

Holds a degree in Letters from the Faculty of Philosophy Sciences and Letters of São José do Rio Preto (1967), a degree in Pedagogy from the University of Vale do Paraíba (1973), a master's degree in Brazilian Literature from the University of São Paulo (1997), a doctorate in Letters (Literary Theory and Comparative Literature) from the University of São Paulo (2004) and post-doctorate in Linguistics at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2008). She is currently a retired professor of undergraduate studies at the University of Taubaté. She is currently a visiting professor linked to the Master's Program in Applied Linguistics at the University of Taubaté. He has experience in the area of ​​Education, with an emphasis on Portuguese, acting mainly on the following topics: linguistics, Brazilian literature, journalism and advertising.
