REVOLUCIONANDO A ENDODONTIA: A IMPORTÂNCIA DE MÚLTIPLOS IRRIGUANTES PARA A DESINFECÇÃO EFICAZ DO SISTEMA DE CANAL RADICULAR UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA

A investigação intitulada “Revolucionando a Endodontia: A Importância dos Múltiplos Irrigadores para a Desinfeção Eficaz do Sistema de Canais Radiculares” apresenta uma revisão narrativa sobre a evolução e relevância dos irrigantes no tratamento endodôntico. Desde a utilização de soluções simples, como água e álcool, até irrigantes avançados, como hipoclorito de sódio, EDTA e nanopartículas, o estudo enfatiza a necessidade de combinações de irrigantes para melhorar a eficácia antimicrobiana e reduzir as complicações associadas às infeções perirradiculares. Através de uma revisão abrangente da literatura, são identificadas lacunas na investigação sobre a eficácia das combinações de irrigantes na remoção de biofilmes resistentes. São ainda abordadas técnicas de ativação como a irrigação ultrassónica, que otimizam a ação dos irrigantes. Entre os achados notáveis, conclui-se que a aplicação sequencial de regantes permite maximizar a sua eficácia e que a utilização de água ozonizada e tiossulfato de sódio pode oferecer alternativas promissoras. O estudo destaca a necessidade de uma abordagem abrangente à irrigação endodôntica para alcançar resultados clínicos ideais e prevenir a reinfeção pós-tratamento.
