Abstract

This study presents a qualitative analysis of the drug Amoxicilxin suspension 250mg/ 5ml, using the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) method. The signs of ¹H-NMR and ¹³C-NMR of an amoxicilline pattern with expired drugs (3 years) and on shelf life were compared, and changes in signals referring to the amoxicilline molecule were observed. The drugs did not undergo any previous treatment for analysis and were only dissolved in dimethylsulxide (DMSO-d6) for the experiments and were carried out with the same parameters of adjustment of the equipment. To compare the signs, the spectra were overlaped, and no absence of any of the signs related to the drug was observed. The use of comparison of the signs was very intuitive and easy to interpret and no significant differences were observed in the signs of the drug in both drugs, valid and expired.
