This article aims to elucidate the importance of people management by an outsourced company in the US in the current post-pandemic scenario. Therefore, it seeks to know the factors that can contribute to the retention of talents; exposes the importance of strategic people management in modern organizations; and researches the benefits of people management by an outsourced company and its possible contributions to mitigating the phenomenon of the “Big Layoff” in the USA. Regarding the methodology, we opted for bibliographic research on data that were collected in other studies combined with documental research, given that the topic is too recent and, for this reason, addressed predominantly in news published in newspapers, magazines and published periodicals online. It was concluded at the end of the study that in the current situation there is still an unstable job market as people still move and companies still try to adapt and provide their employees with the best solutions that are within their reach. In this “Great Reorganization”, workers deliberately began to take small steps towards the careers they believe best meet their needs, which can imply a more satisfying professional life for many people. So, if the pandemic is going to leave something positive for humanity, perhaps it can be said that the improvement is this incisive search for recognition, quality of life and permanent improvements in the job market.
