INTEGRATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY PRACTICES IN THE SCENARIO OF COVID-19: CAUTION STRATEGY FOR ANXIETY MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION: COVID-19 has made the whole world need social isolation and like people need it, including a new routine within people in need, including high levels of suffering, anxiety, anxiety, fear, seriousness and adaptation. Integrative and complementary practices can be an important tool to alleviate this suffering, especially anxiety, in the current pandemic context. OBJECTIVE: to analyze the management associated with integrative and complementary practices in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in the scientific literature. METHODS: this is an integrative review of the literature published between 2019 and August 2021, based on the descriptors "complementary therapies", "COVID-19" and "anxiety", in the databases of the Virtual Health Library in Traditional Medicines, Complementary and Integrative (BVS-MTCI). Initially, 128 articles were found. Selection process and application chosen 11 articles were chosen for analysis. The review report was prepared based on the recommendations of the Prism Declaration. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: whether all the works were unanimous in stating that the integrative and complementary practices, carried out in person or at a distance, through a professional or through digital technology, had a positive impact on the mental health of people within the context of the pandemic do COVID-19. Other symptoms, in addition to anxiety, were alleviated as therapies, such as depression and stress during. CONCLUSION: it is clear that integrative and complementary practices were resources in the management of psychological problems, both for professionals from different areas and important for the general population.
