THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF SPORTING EVENTS BY THE MILITARY POLICE OF PARANÁ (PMPR), WITH COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, AS A MECHANISM OF APPROXIMATION AND EMPATHY: POSITIVE REFLEXES FOR THE IMAGE OF THE CORPORATION

Abstract

This article aims to demonstrate the positive effects on the institutional image of the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR) resulting from the organization of sporting events with community participation. Such events lead the PMPR to a healthy approach to the community, creating empathy with its "customers", given that the PMPR is the main provider of Public Security in the State, using the Community Police as a principle of action and having the responsibility of policing. ostensible uniform in its 399 (three hundred and ninety-nine) municipalities. The aforementioned analysis was carried out through a documental research, as well as through the authors' expertise in the organization of sporting events, seeking to delimit the frequency with which such events are held; as well as, if they are developed with the support and coordination of the Institution or if they have their origin through specific initiatives of its members. The study also had as scope to verify the reflexes for the institutional image, therefore, the perception of the community in relation to PMPR, after the participation in such sporting events organized by the Corporation. It also demonstrates the relevance of offering possibilities to the State Military to practice sports, indicating how important a well-conditioned professional is for the performance of a profession that, due to its own characteristics, naturally increases stress levels, which can even result in health problems.
