DIDACTIC-PEDAGOGICAL PROPOSAL ON ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH INVOLVING THE WATER THEME

Environmental education (EE) must be developed at all levels of basic education through interdisciplinary, integrated and contextualized way. However, teachers often face difficulties to deal with this approach because of the characteristics of their own training, so that materials to assist teachers in this type of work are valuable. The qualitative and participatory research involved the participation of teachers graduated in biological sciences, physics, chemistry and mathematics. It aimed to develop a didactic sequence (DS) as a playful didactic-pedagogical proposal in EE, addressing health and environmental responsibility around different aspects involving the water theme, based on the National Curriculum Parameters. The DS was structured with five stages that explore different resources and activities that aim to develop the critical, reflective and active profile of students, addressing issues such as pollution, waste, water treatment, dengue, zika, chikungunya. The teachers considered that the DS met their expectations involving relevant daily matters, with clear and well-described steps and objectives, diversity of resources and playful actions, raising awareness and focusing on the multiplier student, easy to be applied by teachers from different areas for a integrated, contextualized and critical environmental education.
