Understanding the importance and necessity of the DistanceAbstract
Understanding the importance and necessity of the Distance Higher Education standard, the well-known distance learning, which had a clear increase in demand, as well as the indigence of ending the differentiation between face-to-face teaching and the aforementioned distance learning, the contribution of Instructional Design to Self-Managed Learning in distance learning courses is highlighted here. With this, it is clear that many looks focus on the shapes that manage the coverage of new levels of quality, for higher education courses that are taught by such modality. Thinking about this panorama, this article presents, as its great design, to raise a brief reflection on instructional design in self-managed learning in Virtual Learning Environments, emphasizing, therefore, its epistemological, technological and methodological factors. With this, that is, with the conception of such a learning pattern, it is suggested that there is a better preparation or a vast improvement in these Virtual Learning Environments, which consider such pillars as being today the basis for their support of distance learning, understanding, thus, the importance of working together in the educational environment with self-managed learning and the contribution of instructional design. This discussion can be concretized from the moment in which it was chosen to do a bibliographic research, which will contribute to the collection of theoretical data, which will be the basis of this study.
