Abstract

The importance of caring for nature and the environment has been emphasized by the theme of conservation and promotion of sustainability. The indispensable importance of a given commitment and environmental education of pro-environmental behaviors has been evidenced in various contexts, through public policies, the media, through seasonal campaigns. However, little is explored about the meaning present in the practices of care configured from the person-environment inter-relationship. In this sense, this study aimed to provide a plausible dialogue based on the contributions of Environmental Psychology and Logotherapy in order to bring closer the idea of environmental care outlined by Environmental Psychology to the concept of responsibility envisaged by Logotherapy. The research was bibliographic, with emphasis on books and scientific articles. The results indicated that the confluences presented validated to demonstrate that the person-environment relationship can be profoundly positive if responsibility is recognized as a human domain, which can contribute in a given circumstance to the adoption of good pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors and reveal the unique incumbency inherent to life.
