ADHERENCE TO TREATMENT STRATEGIES FOR SYPHILIS IN PREGNANT WOMEN USED BY PRIMARY CARE NURSES

Objective: To identify the adherence strategies used by primary care nurses in the treatment of syphilis in pregnant women. Method: This is an integrative literature review, carried out in September and October 2020, in the LILACS, BDENF and MEDLINE databases. The combination of descriptors was used as a search strategy: syphilis; pregnant; congenital syphilis; primary health care; public health nursing. Results: From the analysis of the 14 articles, it was possible to elaborate a consolidated of the strategies, among them: adoption of educational practices, national dissemination campaigns, flowchart in all units and permanent education. It was observed that despite the wide coverage of prenatal care, the assistance received is not always of quality. Conclusion: There is a need for evolution in questions of strategies for coping with gestational and congenital syphilis. More incentive for continuing education is recommended for professionals who provide services to the population.
