Abstract

The present work aims and suggests an analysis regarding teachers' understanding in relation to neuroscience and education, the difficulties and possibilities of thinking about neuropedagogical practice in teaching and learning in early childhood education. Over the past ten years, there has been growing interest in applying knowledge of the human brain to the field of education, including reading, learning, language, and mathematics. This resulted in the development of a series of new practices in education. Neuroscience, when applied to the educational system, the understanding of its structure in relation to the evolution and functioning of the nervous, neurological and psychological systems contribute greatly to the involvement of professionals, pedagogues in problem solving and mainly in the search for changes in the child's behavior at school, in their learning process. The methods, tools, and theoretical frameworks of neuroscience have expanded our understanding of the mind in ways that are highly relevant to educational practice.
