Abstract

ABSTRACT

The year 2020 will go down in history due to the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) first reported in China in December 2019 and dissipated worldwide. Thus, all modes of social interaction had to be rethought and adapted to changes, and in education, it was no different. Following guidelines expressed by the World Health Organization to follow social isolation protocols, such as face-to-face classes from educational institutions (schools, universities, and technical education) were suspended and, to minimize the impact on the 2020 academic calendar, as schools adopted tools and services to continue learning through distance learning. In this scenario, the São Paulo State Department of Education, developing a teaching platform, the São Paulo Media Center, with classes for all grades/years, in addition to different training courses for teachers and managers. In the training courses, new possibilities for digital tools/platforms for remote teaching were enabled. This article is a quantitative survey of the technologies most used by teachers in the schools that make up the Board of Education of the Municipality of Taboão da Serra - São Paulo, during the academic year of 2020.
