Abstract

The teaching and learning of the Portuguese language involves the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. The challenges of teachers in this process are diverse, such as the linguistic variation present in Brazil, the need to adapt to different student profiles, and the use of technological resources in teaching. One of the main challenges is linguistic variation, which includes regional and social differences in the use of the Portuguese language. Teachers need to be aware of these variations in order to be able to offer a more inclusive and respectful teaching with the country's cultural diversity. Another challenge is adapting to different student profiles, who may have different abilities and needs. The teacher needs to be able to identify these differences and adapt their teaching methodology to meet the demands of each student. In addition, the use of technological resources in the teaching of the Portuguese language can be a challenge for teachers, who need to be up-to-date and prepared to use these resources efficiently and integrated into the teaching process. In summary, the teaching and learning of the Portuguese language requires teachers to pay special attention to linguistic variations, the ability to adapt their teaching methodology to different student profiles, and the knowledge and use of technological resources.
