APPLICATIONS OF ORGANIZATIONAL AND WORK PSYCHOLOGY: REFLECTIONS ON AN EXPERIENCE LIVED IN THE CONTEXT OF A PHILANTHROPIC INSTITUTION

The text presents reflections on Organizational and Work Psychology from an internship experience lived by Psychology students in a philanthropic institution, as a moment of preparation for professional life, in the search to relate theory and practice. The objective was to identify psychosocial phenomena, as well as risk and protection variables in the institution. For this, on-site observations, interviews with professionals and reflective meetings with the institution's managers were carried out, in order to reflect on management practices. The experience enabled the coordination and management of group processes, considering the individual and sociocultural differences of its members; It favored inter and multiprofessional action, as well as critical thinking in the production of interventional practices, in order to stimulate competencies and skills such as: decision-making, leadership, administration and management of human, material and information resources, leading work teams, performing diagnosis and evaluation of psychological processes of individuals, groups and organizations.
