Sunday, a holy day for Christians, had been considered since the beginning of Christianity, on a scriptural, patristic and liturgical basis, the day par excellence consecrated to the Lord. Therefore, the entire Church is called to remember that majestic day on which our Lord Jesus Christ overcame death and sin and thus guaranteed life in its fullness through the mystery of his resurrection. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to rediscover its value in a world lacking in values, so that Christians never stray from the Lord Jesus who makes himself present in every Sunday liturgy in which they participate. The methodology used was a literature review study seeking to describe Sunday for Christians, in comparison with the experience of Shabbat (Jews' holy day), reaching the conclusion that nowadays, Christian Sunday has been emptied of its full meaning. Thus, as a result, it was realized that Sunday is the glory of the days, the day on which the people are called to exalt the countless benefits granted by the word and the Eucharist.
