Abstract

This paper presents the development of Smart Prend, an IoT-based prototype designed as an educational tool for Technical High School students in industrial automation. The project consists of a mini weather station integrated into a clothespin, aiming to optimize clothes drying and introduce students to key concepts such as sensors, programming, wireless communication, and energy efficiency. Using a project-based learning approach, it encourages hands-on engagement and practical understanding. The article outlines the prototype's design and construction, highlighting its potential use in subjects like Integrated Project. Future steps include validating the proposal through extension workshops, assessing students’ technical and behavioral skills while strengthening the connection between theory and practice in technology education.
