Abstract

Human Papilloma Virus HPV is a highly infectious virus that mainly affects women and causes numerous deaths annually. Although it is a current topic, the knowledge of the population is still unsatisfactory, which justifies the choice of the theme. It is a qualitative descriptive study, where an analysis of the approach of the theme in textbooks was carried out in relation to what is requested at BNCC, in addition to a search for articles, magazines and websites that described the theme. Thus, the analysis showed that only one of the six collections analyzed did not describe the topic at hand, however, it found that there were failures regarding the approach, since important points were not properly clarified. Therefore, the objective of the research was then achieved, since the absence of significant items serves as an alert for future didactic compositions.
