ACUTE MYOCARDIINITOSIS AS THE FIRST CLINICAL MANIFESTATION OF SEVERE DISEASE HYPERTHYROIDISM: CASE REPORT OF A YOUNG ADULT PATIENT

Myopericarditis can usually present in a very similar way to acute myocardial infarction, and it is even treated in a similar way, erroneously in cases still without an early diagnosis. Acute myopericarditis can result from several infectious and non-infectious causes.The clinical manifestations of the disease are quite variable; in the acute forms with chest pain, it may manifest similarly to anginal pain, with findings similar to those of an acute coronary syndrome, including changes in the electrocardiogram and elevation of myocardial necrosis markers. The following report describes a case of a previously healthy young man, with the onset of Graves' disease through a picture of acute myopericarditis. As this is a very rare association, a detailed study of situations such as the one described in this report is extremely necessary.
