Abstract

Considering that the theme of this work is related to the use of a natural resin extracted from the white pitch tree, serving as the main raw material to produce an ecologically correct product, to be used as a waterproofing agent for baldrame beams, research is researched on the resin of Protium Heptaphyllum March - white pitch, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of its waterproofing in this structure, for the prevention of pathologies resulting from moisture caused by percolation of water in the pores of concrete. Therefore, it was necessary to analyze through the test, the efficiency of the natural resin in the waterproofing of the concrete. A case study was elaborated and carried out in which the resin was applied in a prototype, inserted in humidity conditions similar to those suffered by baldrame beams and foundations of the buildings, structured the project based on technical standards such as ABNT NBR 9574, 9575 and 9778 and collected technical data that serve as a comparative comparison with a trade mark. A documentary research was carried out, having as references the NBRs, together with an experimental research, where a waterproofing test was carried out in which the simulation of an environment with a very critical seawith respect to humidity occurred, where its results served for data collection and analysis.
