THE VOLUNTARY DELIVERY OF NEWBORN CHILDREN FOR ADOPTION: BIBLIOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS ON THE FOLLOW-UP PERFORMED UNTIL DELIVERY

Abstract

We can say that it is not uncommon for us to come across news in the media about mothers who abandon their children after giving birth in situationssuch as: lots, dumps, vacant lots, sewage, amongother deplorable situations. Faced with this problem, a whole study and public health issue arises, makingthe process of voluntary surrender less painful and more humane, offering support and support to mothers and fathers who, despite not beinginterested in staying with their children, wish to givethem a more dignified life through voluntary delivery for adoption, guaranteeing parents the possibility of keeping their identities protected without any type of civil or criminal liability. Purpose: To describe how safe and welcoming the voluntary surrender processis. Methods: This article's methodology is based on bibliographical research, analysis of legislation on the subject, as well as research on articles in the jurisdiction area and bills related to the subject. Results: The articles initially found in the databasesafter the insertion of the keywords totaled 100, with the application of filters and exclusion of duplicatedworks, that is, those that appeared twice or more in the bibliographic bases, leaving 5 original scientificarticles that met the requirements and norms of the integrative review and that were directly related to the topic addressed. Final considerations: Brazilian legislation has changed a lot with regard to adoption, in recent times numerous mechanisms have beencreated that make it possible to guarantee the fundamental rights of children and adolescents in situations of family abandonment.
