HIGH-RISK PRENATAL NURSING CARE: INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Abstract

Introduction: High-risk pregnancy is associated with risk factors that contribute to an unfavorable situation during the gestational period, which is why high-risk pregnant women require comprehensive assistance, based on physical, emotional and spiritual care. Prenatal care begins at the reference Basic Health Unit (UBS) in each neighborhood close to the woman's residence, where prenatal care is made up of a multidisciplinary health team that seeks comprehensive health care during the pregnancy period. childbirth and postpartum. Objective: to analyze the nursing team's assistance during high-risk prenatal care. Methodology: The research is an integrative review, in which the search for scientific evidence was carried out through five databases (Pubmed, LILACS, SCIELO, MELINE and BDENF) that were indexed in the Virtual Health Library. The sample was produced from a selection of 17 publications. Results: of the 204 articles read, 17 were selected to compose this review, following the inclusion and exclusion criteria outlined for this research. Of the 17 publications selected, all were found in virtual databases, with the highest publication in 2019 (29.45%) and with the highest prevalence in the qualitative study (35.30%). Discussion: prenatal care is characterized by therapeutic actions carried out from the discovery of the pregnancy until the end, in the form of prevention, tracking, diagnosis or treatment. These measures aim to establish the best functioning of conception, maintenance and/or improvement of the pregnant woman's physical and psychological health.
