Abstract

Historically, the importance and value of women in the family context have always been effected from the moment this woman became a mother. However, this
valuing the woman-mother ends up causing the negative feelings that are motherhood are disregarded, as if they were always strong and
happy, without any burden. When i realized these questions, the objective of this research was to
understand the possible influences of the romanticization of motherhood on health
of solo mothers. Four identified solo mothers participated in this research and initially selected through the researchers' network of contacts and then snowball sampling. The data were obtained through an online form, where socioeconomic issues were addressed, as well as triggering questions.
Subsequently, the answers were analyzed according to the theory of content. It was observed that the issues surrounding the theme of the romanticization of maternity are diverse, which include: support network, partner participation, support social and socioeconomic issues.
