Abstract

Concerned with the capacity of academia to collaborate with the necessarily interdisciplinary Sustainable Development Goals and considering C.P. Snow's denunciation that academia would be disciplined in two cultures, this work starts from the concept of Bifurcation of Nature to draw a historiographical reference of the segregation between the humanities and sciences between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. 3 maps of actors are produced that clarify aspects, present novelties and provide a basis for new investigations regarding the segregation between the educational cultures of the humanities and the sciences.
