Abstract

Considering that Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, possibly worrying, of high transmission and global distribution, the objective is the role of physical therapists in combating this pandemic, and the consequences it leaves behind. As a systematic literature review, articles referring to diseases from 2019 to 2021 were used. Thus, the results obtained affirm the importance of physical therapists, who are on the front lines, in delaying this disease. It is in fact a great global threat, and people must be aware of the signs and symptoms it presents, thus seeking knowledge to do their part with regard to prevention measures, reducing the number of cases and deaths.
