Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the enabling technologies of Industry 4.0 applied in the electrical sector, aiming to improve the efficiency and reliability of the industry. A literature review was conducted on the main technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and additive manufacturing, along with their specific applications in the industry. The benefits, challenges, and solutions associated with the implementation of these technologies were also studied. The results highlight the importance of system integration, cybersecurity, and staff training to maximize the benefits of Industry 4.0 in the electrical sector. It is concluded that the implications of Industry 4.0 in the electrical sector are evident, emphasizing the need for a strategic and collaborative approach to maximize the benefits of these technologies and overcome the challenges that arise with their implementation.
