LA INTERVENCIÓN DE LA FISIOTERAPIA EN LOS TRASTORNOS MOTORES EN NIÑOS CON TEA: UNA REVISIÓN DE LA LITERATURA

Resumen

El Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) es un conjunto de alteraciones del neurodesarrollo que afectan la socialización, la comunicación y las habilidades motoras. La etiología está asociada a múltiples factores, que pueden ser genéticos o neurobiológicos. Estudios recientes resaltan los déficits motores como una influencia en otras alteraciones del TEA, y la fisioterapia puede beneficiar el desarrollo motor e interpersonal, adaptándose a las necesidades individuales. El objetivo es describir el papel de la fisioterapia en los trastornos motores en niños con TEA (Trastorno del Espectro Autista). Se trata de una revisión de la literatura que incluye a individuos de 2 a 15 años diagnosticados con TEA, estudios que aborden intervenciones motoras en el período de 2013 a 2023. El análisis nos mostró que las alteraciones motoras ocurren debido al bajo tono muscular, deficiencia en el control postural, planificación motora y trastorno de coordinación. La intervención fisioterapéutica es esencial en las alteraciones de la motricidad y en el desarrollo, y la intervención temprana en estas habilidades también ayudará en la interacción y la integración sensorial. Los estudios demuestran que la fisioterapia es de suma importancia para que el desarrollo ocurra de manera más efectiva y precisa, evitando posibles retrasos en la motricidad. Además de contribuir a la motilidad, también es posible notar la influencia que tiene en el comportamiento social y comunicativo, aumentando así la integración del niño en la sociedad.
