CANTILEVER BEAMS GIRDER ANALYSIS IN METALIC STRUCTURES IN THIN WALLED BEAMS

Abstract

When using symbolic algebraic computation and matricial methods it is possible to search the structural behavior of a cantilever beam girder. The flexibility method is used to analyze profiles of thin-walled beams, considering the introduction of a new degree of freedom (warping of the transverse section) due to the request of the bimoments. Analyses of  bimoments,  flexural moments and  torsional moments are shown. The stresses generated by  bimoments and the flexural moments are calculated. It is therefore possible to determine the behavior of bimoments and stresses according to the simultaneous change of several profiles, identifying nodes which are to be about an intervention and rehabilitation work using rigid shapes.
