Abstract

This article has as its central idea to analyze the use of Physics laboratories in Basic Education schools, intending to verify if the use of laboratories brings promising results for education minimizing the abstractions that the teaching of Physics presents and allowing students a better understanding of the concepts. We used as a basis, articles that provide information about the lack of laboratories for teaching Physics in Basic Education, as well as the benefits of using virtual laboratories. An educational product was applied at the Cardoso Fontes State School with the students of the second year of High School, where the virtual simulators PHET and Vascak were presented, directing the presentation to the association of the concepts of Physics with everyday life, more precisely to the operation of an airplane and its subsystems. At the end of the work, it was identified, through students' reports, positive progress in the teaching-learning process, where abstractions were minimized and even suppressed.
