Abstract

Education in public institutions in Brazil is marked by positive progress, but also by moments of neglect and barriers that make the success of public education impossible, especially in public institutions. This study aims to report the experiences in a supervised internship carried out in public teaching places in the municipality of Coari, Amazonas. For this, observations were made in a field diary of the days observed in the classroom of night classes of high school in a state school and classes of the clinical analysis course of a center of technological education in the state, between the period of February and April 2023. Different teaching methods were observed in the disciplines taught. At times, students had difficulty understanding the subjects addressed in the classroom using traditional didactics. The audiovisual resources obtained positive results regarding the understanding of the classes. The use of computers in technical education for the use of basic computational resources was observed. The experiences exposed in this study demonstrated the need to understand the teaching and learning of students in public institutions. The information is a potential source for decision-making and construction of knowledge regarding the topic addressed.
