Abstract

Objective: To identify and map the use of clinical simulations as an educational strategy for HIV/Aids across different educational settings. Method: A scoping review will be conducted following the Joanna Briggs Institute framework to answer the research question: What are the applications of clinical simulation for HIV/Aids as an educational strategy for diverse audiences? Searches will be performed in multidisciplinary health science electronic databases and in thesis and dissertation repositories to identify relevant studies. Expected Outcomes: The identification and mapping of available evidence through this study will highlight relevant aspects of existing educational technologies, as well as their impacts and challenges in this field. These findings are essential to support improvements in the quality of education, whether in continuing education, health professional training, or academic contexts. Conclusion: This scoping review is expected to provide a comprehensive analysis of the technologies used in the context of HIV/Aids, generating fundamental data for the development of a simulation-based technology aimed at strengthening educational competencies in health.
