COOPERATIVE LEARNING: A PROMINENT METHODOLOGY FOR PROMOTING EQUITY IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS

Throughout this paper it will be questioned how Cooperative Learning stands out as a means to promote equity in the teaching and learning processes. Differentiating itself from the traditional methodology, the teacher guides and facilitates learning, seeking to reduce inequalities generated by numerous social, economic and knowledge factors that can lead to significant differences in the teaching and knowledge acquisition process. This work aims to understand how the strategies present in Cooperative Learning can favor the promotion of equity in the teaching and learning processes, as well as the fostering of cooperative attitudes and competencies in its heterogeneous public. The research reports how such methodology can provide the development of cooperative attitudes and skills in students, and can be used in the most diverse scenarios of life; to recognize cooperative learning as an innovative and diversified pedagogical practice, being an extremely important tool for the promotion of equity in the processes that encompass teaching and learning.
