The main purpose of this project is to investigate the most recent information regarding cow's milk protein allergy (APLV), seeking to analyze ways to mitigate the problem and suggest substitutes for milk and its derivatives, as well as for products based on these foods, conducting a search for specific food products for milk allergy. The objective of this research was to analyze alternatives to mitigate cow's milk protein allergy in children with APLV. This is an integrative literature review, which included observational studies, clinical trials, conducted with children of both sexes and ethnicities, articles published in the period 2015-2020. Whose languages were in Portuguese or English with access to the full text. The search took place in the Databases PubMed, Science Direct, LILACS, between August and November 2020 with the combinations of the following descriptors: Hypersensitivity; Milk proteins; diet. Articles were identified on pubmed's search site (348), Science Direct (68) and LILACS (10) articles. Of the articles found only 8, related to alternatives to soften allergies to cow's milk protein. The results of this integrative review demonstrate that the use of food alternatives together with the elimination of milk and dietary products of children with APLV may promote improvements in allergic manifestations of these individuals. Therefore, using food formulas and eliminating cow's milk protein are the best ways to alleviate cow's APLV.
