Abstract

Treating equals with equality and unequals equally within their inequality, as taught by the Aristotelian theory of Justice, seems not to be the viable alternative when discussing equality between men and women in society. Even more so when knowledge and its respective theories are involved. In a universe controlled by men, the Academy puts aside what it teaches and only propagates, in practice, something that condemns. In this research, we will approach the complex task of finding elements that can indicate ways on how to approach the reasons for the absence of women philosophers in philosophical discussions at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN). Six articles were analyzed. Of these, only two are linked to the theme, although in a way that goes beyond the objective that was intended to be traced to the current research. In short, questioning the problem of the lack of women's studies in Philosophy proved to be more problematic than previously thought.
