Abstract

The drink coffee is one of the known world, and for some people is extremely important to their use in everyday life. Additionally, coffee has a huge conglomeration of actors involved, such as cooperatives, warehouses, international trade, producers and others, and it becomes a very competitive product on the market. This study investigated the use of genetic algorithms as a way to optimize coffee production and compare their results to a baseline study that uses the same mathematical model as a means of evaluation. The results found in this study were very satisfactory, and when compared to the base study, its effectiveness was proven.
