Abstract: In this study, the techniques currently used in the earthmoving service, or earth movement as it is also called, will be addressed. Its steps, necessary machinery, planning to reduce costs, and all its definition in general. Earthworks is defined by the act or effect of terraplenar a land so that it is flat, thus allowing the next stages of construction. The embankment is paramount, and extremely important in the field of civil engineering, and it is not possible to perform paving and construction of major works, for example, without the execution of this stage. It requires proper planning, preparation of calculations and graphs, so that the necessary cuts and landfills are made, in order to flatten the land avoiding the boot out of debris or debris.
