LA ENFERMEDAD DE CROHN COMO RESULTADO DE LA DESREGULACIÓN DEL SISTEMA INMUNITARIO

Resumen

Introducción: La enfermedad de Crohn (EC) es una enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal incurable en la que se produce inflamación y ulceración de la mucosa del tracto gastrointestinal. Los linfocitos del sistema inmunitario controlan el proceso inflamatorio provocando un aumento excesivo de citoquinas proinflamatorias. Objetivo: Analizar la influencia del sistema inmune en el origen y desarrollo de la EC. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica integradora, con el objetivo de correlacionar el sistema inmune con la EC. Para el análisis de los datos, se incluyó un estudio clínico, un ensayo clínico, un estudio comparativo, un meta-análisis, un estudio multicéntrico, un estudio observacional y un ensayo controlado aleatorio. Para este estudio se utilizaron artículos de la base de datos Pubmed, publicados entre los años 2018 y 2022. Los descriptores elegidos fueron "crohn 's disease" y "immune system". Se excluyeron libros y documentos, revisiones y revisiones sistemáticas. Tras los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se seleccionaron 28 artículos. Resultados: Las citocinas y quimiocinas liberadas por el aumento de neutrófilos aumentan la gravedad de la inflamación. En este proceso se expresarán la interleucina-1, la interleucina-6 y el factor de necrosis tumoral-α. Conclusión: El sistema inmune tiene una fuerte relación con la progresión de la EC a partir de un desequilibrio en la producción de células de defensa, desencadenando lesiones inmunológicas e infiltraciones prominentes de estas células.
