This article discusses the problems of physical menus and proposes a solution to overcome them. The idea behind this work is the Smart Menu prototype, which allows customers to interact with digital menus on their smartphones, providing a more flexible, safe and sustainable experience. Throughout the work, we analyze the benefits of digital menus, their social, hygienic and environmental impacts and we present the Smart Menu prototype as a solution to optimize these benefits. This prototype works as a tool to improve order management in restaurants, pubs and cafes, facilitating communication with customers, promoting agility in the ordering process and cultivating a culture of innovation and responsibility towards the environment, representing an approach to solve this current problem, aiming to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty.
