THE IMPORTANCE OF ADAPTIVE PLATFORMS IN STUDENT LEARNING

The objective of this article is to provoke reflection on the use of the Geekie Games platform to enhance the teaching and learning of low-income students. Adaptive platforms are technological tools that aim at interactive learning, personalized and tailored to each student, according to their learning needs, reinforcing the assimilation of content at any time and place. In order to reach low-income students, Geekie Games has been evolving annually in the search for the best ways to offer quality education to underprivileged youngsters in public schools. Taking this into consideration, the Geekie Games platform presents benefits such as the optimization of time by identifying the facilities and difficulties of each student and shaping a study plan according to their profile, making learning more meaningful, motivating and presenting the student as the protagonist of their own teaching and learning processes. The research method used was a bibliographic review, collecting data from websites, books, virtual libraries, and scientific journals.
